Scriptures Used: Isaiah 40:31, Isaiah 1:19, James 1:22, Proverbs 8:34
Isaiah 40:31
31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Isaiah 1:19
19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
James 1:22
22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
Proverbs 8:34
Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.
People say they’re just waiting on the Lord… but are they really?
A waiter in a restaurant waits on customers. He stands by the door and whenever someone comes in he’s ready to take their order. He’s ready to bring them whatever they ask for. Are you being a waiter/waitress for God? The power in waiting is listening then being ready and willing to be obedient. If you’re doing that then you’re truly waiting upon the Lord.

Scriptures Used: Romans 3:27-28, Romans 3:23-24, 1 John 1:9, Matthew 19:16-22, Matthew 6:24, Romans 10:9-13
Romans 3:27-28
27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. 28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
Romans 3:23-24
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
1 John 1:9
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Matthew 19:16-22
16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? 17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. 18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, 19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? 21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. 22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.
Matthew 6:24
24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Romans 10:9-13
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Why not make the excuses that are keeping you from doing God’s will be the very reasons you start serving God with all your heart? You’ve let it control and influence you and keep you from God. Why not decide that that you’re tired of it keeping you from God and make it lead you start serving God?
We all have excuses or as some people call them ”reasons” why we’re not doing God’s will each day. The thing I want to emphasize to you today though is that it’s completely up to each of us how we choose to let those excuses influence us. They can continue to be what keeps you from doing God’s will and receiving the many blessing He has for you. They can also be what makes you decide you need to sell out to God and do His will and receive the many blessings that He has stored up for you. It’s your choice…
Can God See That You Have The Faith?

Scriptures Used: Acts 14:8-10, 1 Samuel 16:7 & 1 Samuel 15:22
Acts 14:8-10
8And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother’s womb, who never had walked: 9The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, 10Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.
1 Samuel 16:7
7But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.
1 Samuel 15:22
22And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
God is not like man because He looks at your heart. You can fool man by your appearance but you can’t fool God because He knows your heart.
Sometimes God will ask you to do things before He moves on your need because He wants to see how much you believe. If you do whatever He asks you to do then you’re showing God your faith. He wants to see your faith because your faith is the key that unlocks your miracle. Show God your faith by being obedient to Him this year.
Side Scripture: 1 John 2:15-17
15Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.16For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
Below is a song that’s really been ministering to to me and it ties in with this scripture. This world is not our home so don’t fall love with it. Fall in love with Jesus and and all the things of God. All that matters in eternity is what you did for God. Listen to this song and let the words sink into your spirit. Realize that the reason for the world is to make us long for home.
Forget Your Past & Reach For Your Future
This Week’s Sermon is entitled:
“Forget Your Past & Reach For Your Future”
Scripture Used: Phillipians 3:13-14
Phillipians 3:13-14: 13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
This message is for anyone who is having trouble dealing with their past. Whether it be your failures, faults, circumstances, abuse, finances, etc… No matter what you’ve faced in your life you have to learn to follow this part of the above scripture:
“Forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before”
You have to reach forward because by holding onto your past you’re refusing to reach forward. If your past is holding you back, LET IT GO. Forget it! You don’t need it anymore. God has great things in store for you but you have to decide to forget your past and reach for those things, before you’ll ever have them.
What’s Important To You?

“What’s Important To You?”

Scriptures Used: Matthew 7:21-23
Matthew 7:21-23 – 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 A nd then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
This was kind of a hard message for me because it hit so close to home. I really believe that the only way to effectively minister is to be able to show your scars. Even if it is a scar that may hurt your reputation a little, you have to be willing to show it. When God asked me what was really important to me last Sunday and I really examined my life, I found out that God wasn’t #1 anymore to me. I had allowed the things of this world to come before God in my life. I took last week off just to spend a week in repentance to God and to really work on putting Him back as #1. No matter how much you do for God, it will never be able to take the place of your personal relationship with Him. Remember that and know that God desires and deserves to be #1 in your life. Make sure He is #1 by truly asking yourself what is really important to you. I found out God wasn’t the most important thing in my life when I really asked myself that. What did you find out?
The Reason To Start Your Day With God

Scriptures Used: James 4:8 & Matthew 6:33
James 4:8 – Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
Matthew 6:33 – But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
If you start your day with God, He’ll start His day with you also. If you will just seek Him in the morning then He’ll start working on your behalf in the morning. God deserves to be #1 in your life and He should be the first person you say Good morning to every morning.
Cry Out For Help

“Cry Out For Help”

Scriptures Used: Psalm 34:17; Psalm 18:6; 1 Peter 5:6-7
Psalm 34:17 – 17 When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears, and rescues them from all their troubles
Psalm 18:6 — 6 In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.
1 Peter 5:6-7 — 6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: 7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
God cares about you but you have to cry out for His help to get it. Phillipians 4:6 says, “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” Before God moves upon your situation you’ve got to cry out for His help. He’s given each person a will and only helps those that are willing to humble themselves and say I need your help God. So don’t let pride keep you from your deliverance.
Are You Too Busy For God?

“Are You Too Busy For God?”

Scriptures Used:Psalm 22:3, Matthew 18:20 & Exodus 20:3-5
Psalm 22:3 – 3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
Matthew 18:20 — 20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
Exodus 20:3-5 — 3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. 4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
It’s so easy to get caught up in the things of this world and not take time out for God these days. You have to realize though that He desires to spend time with you. That all by itself should make you want to spend time with Him. The Creator of the universe wants you to worship Him and spend time with Him! God is always available so don’t get too busy to spend time with Him because He’s never too busy for You.
Walking In Victory

“Walking In Victory”

Scriptures Used: 1 John 4:4, John 16:33 & Romans 8:31
- John 4:4 4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
- John 16:33 33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
- Romans 8:31 31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
Walking in victory should be the most important thing we do as a Christian. Jesus came and overcame the world so we wouldn’t have to. If you’re letting the things of this world hold you down you’re not walking in the victory that Jesus made possible for us to have. Revelations 12:11 says that we are overcomers by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. Walking in victory everyday is a choice. I choose to walk in victory. Will you join me?
