This Week’s Sermon is entitled:

“Walking In Victory”

Scriptures Used: 1 John 4:4, John 16:33 & Romans 8:31

 - John 4:4    4  Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

- John 16:33   33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

 - Romans 8:31  31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

Walking in victory should be the most important thing we do as a Christian.  Jesus came and overcame the world so we wouldn’t have to.  If you’re letting the things of this world hold you down you’re not walking in the victory that Jesus made possible for us to have. Revelations 12:11 says that we are overcomers by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony.  Walking in victory everyday is a choice. I choose to walk in victory. Will you join me?

Getting Uncomfortable

This Week’s Sermon is entitled:

“Getting Uncomfortable”

Scriptures Used: Genesis 12:1-4

- Genesis 12:2-4 1 Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: 2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: 3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. 4 So Abram departed, as the Lord had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.

God told Abram to get out of his country and leave everything he’d ever known beind. Abram had to get uncomfortable to be able to be obedient to God’s voice. God may be dealing with you to do something outside your comfort zone, but regardless of what is, it’s worth it so just go ahead and do it.  He has a plan and wants to use you but you have to take the first step and be obedient to His voice.

The Least Of These

“The Least Of These”

Scriptures Used: Matthew 25:34-45, Luke 6:38 & Colossians 3:23

-Matthew 25:34-45:  34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. 41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 For I was an hungered, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: 43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. 44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? 45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

-Luke 6:38:  38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

-Colossians 3:23:  23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

God’s dealing with each of us to do our part in helping the world around us. Part of that for me was sponsoring a child through World Vision. It may not be where God leads you but it was for me. What I ask you to do is to really ask God what He wants you to do to reach out.  He’ll answer you. Reaching out is an important part of being a Christian because it’s your opportunity to show the love of Christ to this world.  The same love that gives us the forgiveness, grace and salvation we all are so blessed to have.

The Goodness Of God

“The Goodness Of God”

Scriptures Used: Romans 2:3-4 & Matthew 19:16-17

- Romans 2:3-4  3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God? 4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

- Matthew 19:16-17: 16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? 17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

The goodness of God leads man to repentance. While it’s hard to understand God’s goodness, we should still strive to have just a little of that goodness in our own lives.
